• Consumers buckle under pressure

Many UK consumers feel pressured by OTA websites, and make booking errors as a result. In addition, they are paying an estimated GBP24m more than if they booked direct, according to research by IHG.

Almost three quarters of those surveyed believe comparison sites offer the best deals. However, 43% admit to making a booking error, due to rushing.
