Expedia is to take on Airbnb and Booking by growing its homesharing listings. The company, which bought HomeAway in 2015, says the platform is now ready for expansion, reports Bloomberg.
HomeAway is currently generating USD300m a quarter in revenues, around 10% of Expedia’s total revenues. CEO Mark Okerstrom hinted HomeAway, which currently has 1.7m listings, could triple in scale.
