Marriott is to cut 673 staff from its head office in Bethesda, USA. The permanent layoffs from the 4,000 strong corporate office take place in October, reports Washington Business Journal.
Earlier in the covid-19 crisis, Marriott furloughed around two thirds of workers, and some are still on furlough or reduced hours. In August, Marriott CEO Arne Sorenson said he believed the worst impacts of the pandemic had already been felt.
