    Beaumont expands

    London’s luxury Beaumont hotel is to remain closed until spring 2021, for refurbishment. Owners Ellerman Hotels, backed by the Barclay family, will also add a further 25 room extension. Ellerman is retaining staff during the refurbishment period. Grosvenor is freeholder of the property, with Ellerman acquiring the lease on the building in 2018.

    Highgate grabs portfolio

    Investor Highgate Hotels has acquired a USD2.8bn portfolio of hotels from seller Colony Capital. The deal covers 197 hotels across the USA, in six portfolios, reports The Real Deal.
