Spain’s hoteliers fear their business will take a long time to return. The sector, which accounts for 11% of the country’s GDP, was already reeling from the demise of Thomas Cook, reports The Guardian.
Hotels in Barcelona first felt the impact of coronavirus, with cancellation of the World Mobile Congress, worth an estimated EUR500m to the city. Spanish authorities have launched measures including a EUR400m credit line, to support the country’s tourism sector.
